Overview

The PowerTechware™ AS120 is an access platform that connects end users using standard Ethernet to their service providers. PowerNet combines the standard and low-cost Ethernet technology with the reliable SONET/SDH ring technology to design this PowerTechware™ AS120 access platform to enable carriers to provide reliable Ethernet service to end users at a very low cost.

The PowerTechware™ CS600 is a companion product of the PowerTechware™ AS120 access platform. The PowerTechware™ CS600 is located in the central office and works as the root of the access ring formed by PowerTechware™ AS120's.

  • Maximum 2000 subscribers per ring (with AS120's)

Network Management

All the management interfaces are provided with the CS600 in the central office. The operators can access to each AS120A/B/R at the central office via one or all of the following methods.

  • CLI
  • SNMP
  • HTTP

Remote Diagnostics - All diagnostic functions can be initiated in the central office.

  • Connectivity of user Ethernet interfaces

Remote Alarms - All alarms are reported to the central office.

  • Connectivity loss at the two Gigabit interfaces

  • Ring configuration changes

Visual Indicators

  • Green Power LED to indicate the system is power-on
  • Green System LED to indicate the system is ready to carry user traffic
