CSAN stands for Clustered-SAN. It refers to one of the key feature of product "CSAN/CNAS System". CSAN provides standard SAN service to customer with realtime mirroring feature at data block level.

CNAS stands for Clustered-NAS. It refers to one of the key feature of products "CSAN/CNAS System" and "CNAS Grid". CNAS provides an enterprise grade NAS which is highly scalable, high availability, high performance.

Q2. What "CSAN/CNAS System" contains of?

Standard CSAN/CNAS System consists of 3 components. All components is called "Storage Module". However, 3 components provide 3 different services. First is called Storage Module - Master, second is called Storage Module - Slave, third one is called Storage Module - Backup

Q3. What is Storage Module?

[Answer]:
Storage Module refers to basic unit of all GSGJ product. CSAN/CNAS System and CNAS Grid are built from Storage Module. There are (5 types) of Storage Module:

1. Storage Module - Master:
   It refers to primary node of CSAN/CNAS System. It provides realtime data replicatioin to (Storage Module - Slave) and provides offline data backup to Storage Module -Backup.



2. Storage Module - Slave:
   It refers to secondary node of CSAN/CNAS System. It provides standby service of whole system, data is replicated to it from primary node in realtime.



3. Storage Module - Backup:
   It refers to third node of CSAN/CNAS System. It provides offline storage backup for primary node over IP netowrk.



4. Storage Module - C:
   It refers to controllers of CNAS Grid



5. Storage Module - D:
   It refers to data nodes of CNAS Grid

CNAS Grid refers to an enterprise grade NAS product. It provides highly scalable, high availability, high performance clustered NAS for enterprise based on PC low cost hardware.
